Mark Jacksen is the third generation of his family to work in artistic lighting design. Born in 1958 and raised in Pasadena, California, Mark began working with his father, Peter Jacksen and grandfather, Eric Jacksen in the family owned busines, at the age of 12. During vacations from school he apprenticed in machining lighting fixtures, as well as installing lighting for fine art, interior accents, and gardens. After receiving a BS degree in Landscape Architecture he returned to his family business roots in 1980 to hone his skills. In 1994 Mark formed his own business, Mark Jacksen Illumination, where he provides a complete accent lighting design service.
